Now that the busy holiday season is behind me and I can see clearly through my schedule for the next few months, I am able to focus a little but more on my little photography business. I have big plans and goals for ‘09, the first of which is a website. Yes, it’s time. Although I am just beginning to hammer out what that would look like, I am super excited because it will give me the ability to show off my beautiful clients and give them the ability to view/order their pictures online. SO that’s some good news!
I am also excited to announce that I was given the opportunity to join The Littlest Heroes Project. It is a non-profit organization of photographers nationwide that provide and capture memories free-of-charge for families with children suffering from serious illnesses or life altering disabilities. The mission is to give back and take a stand for these little heroes who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. If you know anyone that has a little hero of their own and may be interested, tell them to check out the website and apply!

But wait, It gets better… I actually booked my first Hero shoot today! So I can’t wait to share that with you soon.
Guess what else!? Drumroll…I am now accepting 2009 wedding contacts. *Clap Clap Clap* and have my first wedding as Jessica Lorren Photography booked in April! So spread the news because there are great opportunities now available for super-affordable wedding photography. Who doesn’t love that?!
Oh and I made a new little friend yesterday, Rylen Baker. You may remember his mommy Kelly from the shower pics and belly pics I did over the past few months. Well he joined us a month early and was born yesterday weighing in at a very precious 5lbs and 15oz. More details on Kelly’s blog. Rylen is in the NICU right now and I dont think they allow flash photography in there but trust me, we will be doing a newborn shoot as soon as the little charmer is up to it.
So thats about all the news for now. Like I said, lots to do but it’s all fun and exciting so stay tuned!
